Social Media...It's Your Worst Enemy or Best Friend

Who you follow on social media is something to consider when you're on your journey to healing your relationship with your body and food.

Think about it, you are doing all this amazing and hard work only to be triggered by an Instagram post. There are so many things that are triggers, let's take control over what we can to promote healing.

Let's Detox!

I'd first recommend going through your social media accounts and pay attention to what accounts trigger negative self-talk, anxiety, body shame, or feelings that aren't aligned with healing. Unfollow, mute, or block any accounts that are triggering.

Seek Out!

Good job! You unfollowed those accounts that are triggering. Now is the fun part! Go through and find influencers that encourage you to heal and recover. Also, think about diversifying the type of bodies you are seeing, this included disabled bodies, fat bodies, bodies with scars/stretch marks, POC bodies....you get the idea!
